Service Changes

Beginning July 1, 2021, our offices will reopen to the public for Environmental Health services only by appointment at our Girard Street location. Our facilities at State Street will remain closed to the public.

To make an appointment, call (360) 778-6000 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. To speak with a public health nurse, call (360) 778-6100. 

Visitors to Health Department buildings are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. If you don't have a mask with you when you come to visit, we will provide one for you. We continue to follow COVID-19 safety protocols and guidance from the state Department of Health.

  • We accept applications and correspondence about permits by mail or through our mail slot at 509 Girard Street (located near the bike rack in our parking lot off Grand Ave.).
  • All payment receipts will be sent by email.
