On March 11, 2021, the Governor announced that Healthy Washington: Roadmap to Recovery will be transitioning from a regional approach to a county-by-county evaluation process. On April 9, the Governor updated the the metric requirements, and the first evaluation for the new metrics took place on April 12. Whatcom County met the required metrics and will remain in Phase 3.
