Mandatory Family Law Mediation

Under Whatcom County Superior Court Local Rule WCSPR 94.08, most contested family law cases must engage in a mandatory mediation process before the case may be scheduled for trial.

The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center is the County’s designated alternative dispute resolution center under RCW 7.75. Offering mediation, conflict training and facilitation services on a sliding scale, no-one is turned away due to an inability to pay.  Call 676-0122 to schedule a mediation, training, or group facilitation. Visit for more information.
