Community Volunteers
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the
valuable resource of partnering with community volunteers
to assist us in effectively serving the community. We welcome
citizens who wish to donate their time serving their community
through the Sheriff’s Office.

Or you can simply come into our office and pick up a volunteer
application. Applications are processed for a background
investigation and after an interview and successful completion
of a polygraph examination, volunteers are allowed to serve
in different divisions within the Sheriff’s Office,
depending on interests or greatest need.
