The Long Range Planning Division works on proposed changes to the County Comprehensive Plan, subarea plans, as well as the zoning code text and zoning maps. Long range staff also supports the Planning Commission, and land use related boards and commissions.
Please note: The Whatcom County Code document is updated quarterly. There may be ordinances and or resolutions that have been adopted that are not included in the most updated printed version of the Whatcom County Code.
Ordinances/Resolutions which have been adopted after the latest printed version of the Zoning Ordinance (Title 20), Land Division Ordinance (Title 21), and Critical Areas Ordinance (Title 16.16) can be obtained from the Whatcom County Council web page.
