Whatcom County PDS has adopted zoning code amendments that would allow Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (EVI) throughout the County. EVI includes battery charging stations ranging from at-home plug-ins to faster and more powerful charging stations, and potential battery exchange stations.
The Planning Commission consdered the original (August 16) draft amendments at their October 13 meeting and directed staff to make revisions. The Planning Commission recommended adoption of a revised draft at its work session on October 27. The County Council adopted the amendments (Ordinance 2012-001) at their January 10, 2012 meeting.
