Natural Resources
The natural resources division is active in a number of planning activities throughout the basin.  We work with Public Works staff on activities related to the Salmon Recovery Program, Marine Resources Committee, Shellfish Districts, Watershed Planning, and Lake Whatcom.

Our water resource related projects are now part of the Comprehensive Water Resource Integration Project (CWRIP).  This project provides for a way to evaluate water resource related projects in relation to Whatcom County priorities as well as coordinate activities between Planning and Development Services and Public Works.

We have an active role in interagency planning efforts, data management, and GIS analysis.
