As part of the Whatcom 2031 update process, the County is reviewing a number of other issues. Some of these projects have already begun and information about those projects is below.
Fire Level of Service
The County is in the process of establishing a county-wide level of service (LOS) for fire services.

Harbor Shores Rezone/Comprehensive Plan Amendment
This amendment is a private application for inclusion in the Blaine Urban Growth Area and a rezone from one unit per 10 acres to 4 units per acre. The amendment was passed by the Council to concurrent review on October 12, 2010. It will be reconsidered by the Council concurrently with other Comprehensive Plan amendments passed during 2010 in 2011.
