Fields and forests edge the floodplain of the North Fork Nooksack River along this trail.  Sunny picnic tables invite a leisurely break any time of the year, but the greatest attraction occurs from December through March, as majestic bald eagles congregate here to feast on spawned salmon.  Numbers of eagles vary depending on the salmon runs, but groups of 50 or more are possible.

To enhance your visit, join a naturalist for a Guided Walk to view the eagles.

Pets must be leashed and all pet waste cleaned up.

Directions:  Go east on Mt. Baker Highway. Near milepost 15, turn right on Truck Road. Continue 0.7 miles to parking on right.

WTA Route 72X provides access to Truck Rd at the Mount Baker Highway.
