Like the name says, the Group
Camp at Silver Lake is a facility designed for large groups.
Located at the south end of
the park and flanked by large open fields on two sides,
the Group Camp can accommodate tents, RV’s or vehicles
with trailers. Popular with RV clubs and churches, the
Group Camp is also ideal for company campouts or large
family gatherings. The Group Camp is an extremely popular
facility at Silver Lake Park and books up fast so early
reservations are recommended.
Group Camp Features:
There are water and electrical hook-ups
for up to 30 units spread around the outside of a large
circular parking
area. In the center of the parking area is a small
meadow with
a large covered kitchen shelter. The shelter has a
central indoor fireplace, picnic tables, serving counters
with
sinks and coin-operated electric stovetops. Outside
there are large group picnic tables, fire pits and a large
BBQ.  There is also a landing area maintained for hang
gliders
near the Group Camp.
