Picnic
Areas: There are numerous picnic sites throughout the
park, all have lake views. Some of these sites are nestled
amongst the shade of our trees. Others are located in the
open, sunny areas.
Note: charcoal fires only in picnic grills.
Playground: Just above the beach area you can find a
small activity area with 2 swings and a swirling slide.
Waterfall: You can find yourself amidst a beautiful waterfall
just 50 feet off one of our trails. The source of this spectacular
30-foot cascading resource is from our surface drainage. This
attraction is seasonal since the waterfall is dependent on our
rainfall (it usually runs from November through May or June).
Landscaping: Terraced on a beautifully landscaped hillside,
the skillful use of native plant material combined with many northwest
favorites creates a botanical wonderland snuggled along the lakeshore.
This park provides a true Northwest experience with a combination
of naturalized and native landscaping. You can find at least 49
species of rhododendrons, the Washington state flower.
Trails: Enjoy another outdoor experience and take a hike on one
of our two trails. The shorter Lakeshore Trail meanders along
the lake and provides access to the boat dock and the fishing
dock. The longer hillside trail loops up and through a number
of forest types. There are several viewpoints to enjoy the lake
and surrounding hills.
