Plantation Rifle Range
Plantation Range is available for public shooting of rifles, pistols and shotguns. The Range offers:
- high power rifle range up to 300 yards
- indoor pistol and smallbore rifle
range to 25 yards
- outdoor pistol and smallbore rifle range up to 100 yards
- trap range
All ranges are supervised during hours of operation, and a day use fee is collected for the use of
the Range.
Plantation Range serves as a focal point for both public and law enforcement shooting and training activities for the greater Whatcom/Skagit County area.
The facility opened in 1971 with a 300 yard outdoor range.
In 1975 an indoor/outdoor smallbore rifle and pistol range was
added to the facility. In 1984 a trap range was constructed for
shotgun shooters. A new control building with classroom area was
added in 1992.
The Range may be scheduled for match or special programs. Call 360-676-9770 for more information.

Take I-5 Exit #246 (North Lake Samish) and follow signs to the Range.
