Public Access: The Law Library is staffed and open to the public on a part-time schedule. Please call ahead for the current schedule, as hours are subject to change.
Attorney Access: Members of the Whatcom County Bar Association may access the Law Library whenever the Courthouse is open. Please call the librarian for further information.
Circulation: Materials must be used in the library;
no check-out is available for the general public due to the
small size of our collection. Attorneys practicing in Whatcom
County may check-out non-Reserve items for up to two weeks.
Assistance to
Library Users: Library
staff cannot give legal advice or interpret materials, but can assist in locating and using legal research
materials in print or electronic format.
Public Access Computers: Three computers are available
to access various legal research databases. Time limit is 15 minutes when others are waiting.
Library Tours: Brief orientation and library tours
are available for school classes or other interested groups.

Rental of library space: The Law Library is available
for law-related classes. Please call the Law Librarian to arrange.
