Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 39.34.040, states in part, “Prior to its entry into force, an agreement made pursuant to this chapter shall be filed with the county auditor or, alternatively, listed by subject on a public agency's web site or other electronically retrievable public source.”
Beginning January 1, 2010, the Whatcom County Council Office will list certain County-approved agreements by number and subject, in lieu of recording the agreements with the County Auditor, pursuant to RCW 39.34.040. In general, these are memoranda of understanding, interlocal agreements, interagency agreements, or intergovernmental agreements.
