Purpose The Board shall be broadly representative of the
demographic character of the county and the mentally ill persons
served therein. The Board plans services for treatment of the
mentally ill. Members include community representatives (government,
business, education, families of mentally ill persons, and mental
health professionals).

Member Specifications Residents of Whatcom County. The
Mental Health Board shall be broadly representative of the demographic
character of the County and the mentally ill persons served therein.
51% must consist of Mentally ill persons, family members or advocates.
