Job Announcement
The job announcement lists a brief
summary of the position, essential duties, qualifications
and special requirements. Please review this information
carefully to assure that you meet these criteria before applying.
Application Packet
To be considered for any position, you must submit a
completed, signed Whatcom County Employment Application and,
if applicable, a Supplemental Application form. These
documents will be used to determine whether you meet the
minimum job requirements. Please do not fill in sections
with "refer to resume."

Multiple Applications
If you are applying for more than one position, please make
copies of your completed application, leaving the position
title, date, and signature lines blank, to fill in later for
other positions you apply for.
Notification and Status of Closed Jobs
The status of closed jobs will be posted to our web site. Our
web site is routinely updated with current information. Generally,
if you have been selected for an interview or testing you will
be contacted within three weeks of the closing date.
Authorization to Work
All new employees must show authorization to work in the
United States and verify identity.

Whatcom County offers
excellent benefits which currently include medical, dental and vision
coverage for employees and their family. Our benefits package includes
attractive paid leave provisions and an average of
12 paid holidays per year. County employees participate
in the Washington State Department of Retirement System with joint
contributions by the County and the employee. Whatcom County offers
an employee assistance program, and employees may, at their option
and expense, participate in a flexible spending plan for health
care/dependent care and deferred compensation programs. Benefits
may be prorated for less than full time positions.
