The purpose of the Bicycle / Pedestrian Advisory Committee is to assist the county in the planning, funding, development and implementation of facilities and programs that will result in the increased safety and use of bicycle and pedestrian travel as a significant and beneficial mode of transportation and recreation.


  • 5:45 p.m., the 3rd Wednesday of every month

Members must be residents of Whatcom County who have an interest in promoting the use of bicycle/pedestrian travel for transportation and recreation.

The Whatcom County Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) was created by Whatcom County Executive Pete Kremen in 2001, and was approved by the County Council through Ordinance 2001-013 to fulfill the purpose set for the Committee.
