		County Auditor's Office Introduces E-Recording Beginning May 15!
		Electronic recording of land records will be available beginning May 15, 2013 in the Whatcom County Auditor's Office. This method of submission, used by title companies and national submitters to record real property documents will dramatically speed up the recording process.

		Whatcom County Observes National Public Works Week
		County Executive Louws and Mayor Bellingham, Kelli Linville jointly proclaim National Public Works week May 20 - 24. The week is to energize and educate the public on the importance of the contribution of public works to our daily lives in planning, building, managing and operating the heart of our local communities and improving quality of life.

		Whatcom County PDS Announces Reduction in Residential Permit Processing Time
		During the week of April 15 - 19, 2013, Whatcom County PDS staff were involved in a Kaizen Workshop and Lean Academy Training. Changes in the application process for residential building permits will be posted on the PDS website.
